Fuel Good Day 2025 Raises $19,360.80 to Support Local Families and Community Programs

On September 16, 2025, for every litre sold, Moose Jaw Co-op donated to our communities in Avonlea, Liberty, and Moose Jaw- and the result was extraordinary! Thanks to your support, we raised a total of $19,360.80 for three deserving community organizations that make a lasting impact close to home.

This year, Fuel Good Day had an extra boost through a community-minded collaboration with Velocity Ford. Their involvement amplified our message and helped bring even more people together in support of local needs.

Fuel Good Day is about more than filling tanks - it’s about supporting our neighbours and helping local organizations continue the work that strengthens our communities.

Our 2025 recipients were:

Avonlea Friendly Neighbours
The Avonlea Friendly Neighbours is a long-standing, volunteer-driven group committed to reducing isolation, fostering connection, and creating welcoming spaces for residents - especially seniors - to gather, socialize, and belong. Based out of their recreation centre on Main Street, they host potlucks, drop-ins, community meals, and events that bring people together.

They hosted a lively community BBQ during Fuel Good Day that kept spirits high all day long. Their $2,666.90 in proceeds will go toward essential expenses, helping keep this vital community hub open for everyone who depends on it.

Liberty Service Club
Quiet in presence but powerful in impact, the Liberty Service Club works behind the scenes to support local projects, fundraisers, and community spaces in the Village of Liberty. Their volunteer spirit keeps neighbourhood traditions alive and strengthens community pride through hands-on effort and grassroots collaboration.

Their $1,198.00 in Fuel Good Day proceeds will support future community initiatives - from rink projects to local programming - helping keep Liberty vibrant, connected, and supported.

Moose Jaw Family Services
For nearly five decades, Moose Jaw Family Services has provided compassionate, accessible support for individuals and families through counselling, youth programs, life-skills education, and trauma-informed services. Their mission is to create stronger families, healthier futures, and a more resilient community for all.

Their team brought unforgettable energy on Fuel Good Day - grass skirts, themed outfits, and a full roster of excited volunteers spread across all Moose Jaw Co-op locations. 

Their $14,843.60 in proceeds will significantly increase the reach of their youth mentorship program, allowing more young people on the waitlist to access meaningful support, guidance, and connection.
