Day 1 of Operations - Moose Jaw Co-op at Imperial
November 10, 2025

Dear Members, Customers, and Community,

First and foremost, we want to thank the people of Imperial and surrounding communities for your continued support in local business and in helping us to reach this point. Because of your support, we can keep services strong in Imperial and continue investing in both your Co-op and the community. While some very difficult and necessary decisions have been made to ensure operational viability due to age and environmental condition of certain assets, the Moose Jaw Co-op is committed to upgrading the Cardlock and Food Store operations. We are also reviewing a path forward for the propane filling station.

As we begin our first day, we appreciate your patience as we reorganize the store, restock fresh inventory, and refine the approach to hardware inventory. We are fortunate to have the Liberty Store nearby, led by Aline Guillas and her team, providing an excellent hardware selection, tire service, and gas and grocery. As you may also be aware, the Moose Jaw Co-op has recently acquired the former Blairs Crop Inputs location in Liberty, which includes a feed shed that will serve as our area hub for feed. Kyle MacLellan and his team have been providing feed and mineral products for many years, and we’re excited to welcome you to this part of our business. If the drive is ever a challenge, please reach out and we will make a plan to get it to you!

Through our Agro Centre in Moose Jaw, Brian Fisher and his team offer lumber supplies and building packages, with delivery available; while Wendell Reimer leads the team providing livestock equipment, fencing supplies, and he is an excellent resource for your bin storage and equipment needs. Keep an eye out as we begin to stage inventory in the area to serve you better. On the petroleum side, many of you are already familiar with Brandon Andrei and his friendly team of drivers, and they continue to be ready to meet your bulk fuel and petroleum needs.

Again, we thank the Imperial Co-op members for your support, the Imperial Co-op Board for your dedication to a successful changeover, and sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Imperial Co-op for their commitment as Imperial ceases operations and Moose Jaw begins. We are proud to join the Imperial community and look forward to growing together.

Yours sincerely,

The Moose Jaw Co-op
